Ex-Akwa Ibom gov, quits politics

Former governor of Akwa Ibom State, Victor Attah has announced his immediate retirement from partisan politics, but warned that his action should not be misconstrued to mean his joining the All Progressives Congress (APC).Attah, who announced his decision at a press conference organised in his honour by Akwa Ibom Liberation Coalition on Tuesday, at Darty Hotel, Uyo, based his reason for quitting partisan politics on age, which at 77 years on November 20, has graduated himinto the elder statesman’s class. He said at that age, he could still serve Nigeria and the society as others in that class have been doing withoutnecessarily carrying the card of any political party; but stressed that he has always been a committed professional in politics and not a professional or career politician.“So, I can formally state that I have quit partisan politics to play the role of an elder statesman and to continue to serve this country with love, strength, and faith with integrity to the best of my ability.“Let nobody take this to mean that I want to remain in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or therefore, jump to the opposite conclusion that I am going over to APCor any other party for that matter,” he said.He blamed the PDP’s political woes on its lack of internal democracy, warning that for the party to bounce back as its current leaders claim, the party should return to the ideals of the party as propounded by the founding fathers.

Woman confesses: I have slept with over 10 dogs!

My name is Ini-Obong. I am from Akwa-Ibom state, Nigeria but I reside in Malaysia. Only last year, I returned to Nigeria on completion of my studies. For a lot of reasons, I may want to hide some other details for fear of been humiliated by my folks. All I desire are kind and encouraging words to get out of this thing I have come to realise is a huge mess.I have been living in shambles and mystery and decided to speak out before I get consumed. I am 29 years old and I have never had sex with any man, except my dogs.Growing up, we had dogs as guards or say pets. As an only child, I got what I wanted. On this fateful day, specifically January 12th, I asked my father for one of the dogs to live in my room. He granted my wish as a birthday present to me. This was where my ordeal started.I would bath with the dog, eat with it and all. On this particular day, I played with the dog and I got tickled and turned on. In the process, one thing led to another and I had an ‘insertion’ with the dog.For 15 years, I have slept with over 10 dogs. I have lived my life sleeping with any cute dog I came across. All I need do is either buy it or cajole it to a corner and have sex. I am a full grown adult and I still can’t kill theurge. Whatever you can imagine doing with a man in bed as a lady, I do with my dogs.As much as I love dogs, I detest men. I get every satisfaction from my dogs. The more effort I put in trying to stop sleeping with dogs, the more urge I have to have sex with them.I’m the only one who knows this and the burden is too heavy for me. It’s far more than I can swallow.Am I alright? Is it out of the ordinary? How can I talk to my parents about this? Can this confession even help me when I keep battling with myself over this matter? What do I do please? I need help!,,,Daily Post

Senate screens,,,,,

At last, Senate screens Amaechi, supporters jubilate
October 22, 2015 : Gbenro Adeoye and Kunle Falayi Leave a Comment

The Senate on Thursday finally screened the former Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, a ministerial nominee from Rivers State.

The Senate had twice postponed the screening of the former governor owing to some allegations of fraud levelled against him by the Rivers State Government and the scheduled trial of Senate President Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal on alleged false declaration of assets on Wednesday.

At the inception of the screening on Thursday, however, Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, had opposed Amaechi’s screening on the grounds that the report of the ad hoc committee, set up by the Senate to look into the petitions against Amaechi’s nomination, had only been submitted but not considered by the lawmakers.

Akpabio, a former governor of Akwa Ibom State, argued that it would be inappropriate to ask the ministerial nominee questions when the report of the panel set up to investigate the allegations against him had not been considered.

Dating tips

Relationship Advice for Women!!! 10 Things Women Should Never Lie to Men About;

Keeping things honest will help you avoid leading Mr. Wrong or turning Mr. Right off. Be yourself and be real. Little white lies will get you nowhere, especially in these 10 categories.

1.Your Birthday

I know the rule: You never ask a woman her age. However, when it comes to dating, this rule must be broken. Don’t lie about your age. If he’s turned off, at least you will know where you both stand immediately. Lying about your age will instantly make you seem insecure, especially if you’re older.

2.How Much You Like Sports

Your interest in sports isn't as important to him as you think. As long as he can watch the game especially football, he's fine. You don't have to watch it with him. If you really aren’t that interested in his favorite football or basketball team, it shouldn’t bother him one bit. But if he takes sports seriously and you’re misquoting stats, butchering player's names and feigning interest in the score, it will be more annoying than endearing. He will know if your interest is genuine or not, so don’t fake it.

3.Your Number

Discussing your s*xual history is always tricky, but it's unavoidable if things between you are becoming serious. I know all women won't be in agreement here but, when it does come up, I say be open and honest about it. If he asks how many people you've slept with before him, don't give him the "safe" number. Give him the real one. If he can't handle your answer, that's on him—not you. He should've taken heed when his mother told him to never ask a woman a question you don't want the answer to.

4.Your Cooking Abilities

Nothing’s more disappointing for a man than to be promised a "life changing" home-cooked meal only to be served a plate full of watery macaroni and cheese and questionable meat. So you don’t know your way around a kitchen, that’s fine. It doesn't make you less of a woman. Tell the truth and give him the chance to impress you with his skills. If you’re both clueless, you can always order take-out.

5.Your Marriage Goals

Most women assume that talking about marriage will scare a man off, but that’s false. The man that’s right for you will want to know where you really stand—especially if he’s on a different path. There is a way to be open about where you desire to be in the future in terms of your relationship without putting too much pressure on the present situation. Saying you don’t want to be married when you clearly do, will send him running for the hills.

6.Your Real Thoughts On His Inner Circle

If you’re not “cool” with his inner circle, you shouldn’t pretend to be. While you should keep an open mind when getting to know them, it's imperative that you find a way to be open with him about your reservations instead of forcing yourself to hang out with people you just don’t care for.

7.How Cool You Are With Him Having "Female Friends"

Not every woman will be comfortable with her man's best friend forever being a female. This is something you must be honest with yourself and him about up front. The issues you overlook in the beginning can potentially become romantic barriers later on down the line. Don’t tell him you’re “cool with it” when you’re not. He’ll see right through this one fast.

8.The Ex-Factor

If your ex is still in the picture, say so. It’s just as important not to hide a connection to an ex, as it is for him to reveal any women in his life. As long as you both keep it real in this department, there will be no unwanted surprises.

9.Your Bedroom Activities

Don’t ever tell a man he’s the best you’ve ever had unless it's the actual truth. You may want to feed his ego, but it won’t work that way if you’re lying. If you tell him he's the best then he has no room to improve. Compliment him but don't overdo it. He’ll appreciate it the realness.

10.The "Real" You

Additions and enhancements are cool, but at some point the man you’re dating should be able to meet the real you. I am attempting to tread lightly here. I know that at times certain outfits may require some "help.” But don’t let padded bras, body shapers and hair weaves mask the real you. That’s who he is most interested in, promise. Or at least, Mr. Right should be.

Are youth truely the leaders of tomorrow

1985, IBB was the president of Nigeria and our teachers told us
that Buhari was the former Head of state. Our teacher also
called us "the leaders of tomorrow" 27 years later, IBB and
Buhari are still contesting for Presidency. Its either our teacher lied to us about being the leaders of tomorrow. Or tomorrow is yet to come. Who's fooling who? In 1983, Bamanga Tukur was the Governor of the defunct
Gongola State (now Adamawa & Taraba) and 30 years later, he
is today the Chairman of the ruling Party, The PDP; Dr. Bello Halliru was commissioner in the Old Sokoto State
(now Sokoto, Kebbi & Zamfara) and 33 years after was the
Minister of Defence; Major General David Mark(rtd) was the military governor  of Niger State in 1984 and 28years later he is today the Senate
President; Gov. Murtala Nyako was the governor of Niger State in 1976
and 36years later he is today the Governor of Adamawa State; Ogbonnaya Onu was governor of Abia State in 1992 and
20years after he is today the National Chairman of ANPP; Gov. David Jonah Jang was the governor of Benue State in 1985
and 27years after he is today the governor of plateau state; and Martins Elechi the Ebonyi State Governor is over 80 years
old!!!! Who are then the leaders of tomorrow????
